Discovered in 1840, Ozone is more effective and environmentally friendly than alternative chemical cleaning agents, especially when compared with chlorine. Since 2000, USDA and FDA have approved ozone for processing food suitable for human consumption. When used correctly Ozone provides a proven, safe and effective method to remove odors, inhibit and stop the spread of mould, while also being extremely effective at killing bacteria and virus. Ozone can be applied in applications requiring a gaseous or liquid based solutions.
WHAT OZONE DOES ?
Ozone reacts especially well with organic substances, typically long chain (organic) molecules that break down into less complex (and typically less harmful) molecules through a process called oxidation.
HOW OZONE IS MADE ?
Ozone is produced by adding energy to oxygen molecules (O2), this causes many oxygen atoms to separate and temporarily recombine with other O2 molecules creating ozone (O3).
